Everyone Matters in Black Diamond

2023 Citizen Awards

 

Now is the time to recognize residents and groups within the City of Black Diamond who has selflessly served our community and made it a better place to live. People, groups, civil servants, and businesses nominated must live/be located in and/or serve the City of Black Diamond. 
 

Not all awards are presented each year.

           Lifetime Commitment - an individual giving 30+ years of volunteer service 
           Citizen of the year - An individual who provided outstanding service to better BD in the past year 

           Civil Servant of the Year - an elected official or city employee who did an outstanding job serving BD residents 

           Community Service Group - a non-profit group that did something significant for BD 
           Individual Com
munity Service - an individual who did significant community service for BD 
           Business Owner of the Year - a BD business that supported BD residents in significant and varied ways

           Hometown Hero - a person who provided selfless aid to others

On a separate piece of paper, tell us why your nominee is worthy of the above award. Attach additional page(s) or letters of support to further illustrate why this nominee should be recognized with a BD Citizenship Award.  Print or type your response and submit it with the form.

Citizen Award Timeline

Application deadline, Deadline is the First Friday of August.

Nominations received after the deadline will not be considered. 
Award Winners will be notified of the decision by the Third Friday in August
Winners will be announced at the Labor Day Festival on Sunday. 
Winners will ride in Dignitary cars in the Parade on Labor Day.
